POSITION SUMMARY: Knowledgeable Certified Arborist experienced in the care and maintenance of trees. Approach trees as an entire biological system, and ensure that services preserve the clients trees, improve safety, reduce client liability, and protect the landscape investment. Certified Arborists must have a strong work ethic, and must enjoy interacting with customers.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Evaluate trees and surrounding plant material for disease and pest problems.
- Analyze nutritional needs of trees, and structural needs of trees.
- Plan and develop budgets for tree maintenance services for Commercial and Residential Clients.
- Adhere to Companys safety policy and ensure that the public will be safe while in contact with crews.
- Ensure that customers are satisfied completely through effective communication, relationship building, and site visits.
- Provide written evaluations to keep clients apprised of plant health.
- Ensure that clients are informed of any potentially hazardous situations on the property.
- Work five consecutive 8 hour days during assigned business hours, weather permitting, and be available to work overtime if requested by Manager.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to start and safely use all removal and tree care power equipment without aid from others.
- Ability to make frequent repetitive movements with the left and right hand, wrist, ankle, and knee.
- Ability to twist, turn, and bend the body frequently.
POSITION EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Certified Arborist
- Extensive knowledge in the care and maintenance of trees.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to safely maneuver a truck and trailer to and from jobsite(s).
- Customer Service experience.
- Ability to effectively understand and communicate with Manager and fellow crew members.
- Possess an Idaho Drivers License and a clean driving record.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
